{mosimage}The Georgian striker Mikheil Ashvetia leaves Rubin Kazan and moves to FC Carl Zeiss Jena.

The 29 year old striker, who played for Lokomotiv Moscow and FC Copenhagen in past, signed a contract  until the summer of 2007 with the German second league team. It is doubtful whether Ashvetia will already play in Jenas next league match on Friday because the club is waiting for FIFA to approve the transfer.

Carl Zeiss Jena is the team that lost to Dinamo Tbilisi in the Cup Winners Cup final in 1981. Right now, the team from eastern Germany is on the 16. position in the second Bundesliga.
