{mosimage}The national “Boris Paichadze” Stadium is being renovated. The works are expected to finish at the end of August.

After the renovation, the stadium that was built in 1976 is going to recieve a totally new face. Seats in colors red, yellow, blue, green and white will replace the old benches. After the reconstruction, the capacity of the stadium will be
60 000, with all seats roofed over. {mosimage}
The seats are not the only things that will be new in the stadium, which reminds many about the glory of old days. The pitch, the scoreboard and even the lighting will be brought to the highest standarts. The football federation proudly announces that the new “Boris Paichadze” will meet all UEFA and FIFA criterias. Whether the football played there will comply with the criteria of an average fan – that remains to be seen.
